Hi, I'm Helen

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, dedicated to providing a non-judgmental and empathetic space for therapy. I work with young people and adults, supporting them through challenges such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, self-harm, addiction, and trauma.

My therapeutic journey began after a decade of working with Care Leavers, where I helped individuals navigate complex emotions and transitions. This experience shaped my understanding of resilience, personal growth, and the importance of feeling truly heard and understood.

I offer online sessions, and outdoor therapy. I recognize that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but I strive to make the experience comfortable and tailored to your needs.

If you’re feeling stuck, struggling with loss, or finding it hard to manage life’s challenges, I’m here to listen and support you in gaining clarity, building confidence, and moving forward in a way that feels right for you.

My Approach

I practice Person-Centred therapy, a non-directive approach that prioritizes your unique experiences, autonomy, and inner wisdom. My role is to offer a safe, accepting, and empathetic space, where you feel comfortable exploring your emotions without fear of judgment.

While my core approach is Person-Centred, I also integrate elements of Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, Positive Psychology, and Existential Therapy when they align with your therapeutic goals.

For those who find nature grounding, I offer outdoor therapy, which can be a powerful way to process emotions in a more open and relaxed environment. Spending time outdoors can help reduce stress, improve sleep, and bring a sense of clarity and renewal. We can tailor outdoor sessions to what feels comfortable for you, and there is always the option to switch to an online session if needed.

My focus is on creating a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship, where you feel empowered to gain insight, build resilience, and develop new perspectives on life’s challenges.
